Requirements Checklist

Use this checklist to verify you've met all requirements before submission.

Final Report Checklist

Format

  • Roughly 20-25 slides
  • Presenter notes on every substantive slide, in full sentences
  • Exported to PDF using the NOTES layout — open it and confirm the notes are there
  • Professional figure and table labeling

Graphics

  • Graphics carry the argument — every figure titled, axes labeled with units, caption states the takeaway
  • Graphics show insights, not routine EDA
  • No residual plots or QQ plots (unless noteworthy)
  • All graphics are legible and properly labeled

Prior Work

  • Prior work section (~1 page): current research and open questions
  • Substance in the presenter notes, not just slide bullets
  • Sources cited (no minimum count; any consistent style)

Required Content

  • The research question and why it matters
  • Prior work: what is known, what is still open
  • The data — sources, shape, key variables, cleaning
  • Exploratory analysis that shaped the modelling
  • Models and methods, justified for this question and data
  • Results — coefficients, fit, diagnostics, test-set performance
  • Assumptions and limitations, stated honestly
  • Conclusions and what you would do next

Content

  • Don't include R/Python code in the report (you're submitting this separately)
  • Methods clearly described with justification
  • Results supported by evidence
  • Conclusions flow logically from results
